Also known as Aceratium ferrugineum "Rusty Carabeen"
Morning sun or light shade
Height: to 10 m
Notes from the plant tag:
This spectacular, ornamental, medium to large shrub occurs naturally in the rainforests of NE Queensland. It's large, dark green leaves are offset by rust coloured new growth.
The flowers which hang in clusters along the branches are bell-shaped and bright pink, followed by 5 cm bright red, edible fruits during summer.
"Flamingo Belle" grown in an open, well-watered position will form a medium to large shrub, rounded and bushy to the ground.
It prefers to be wind sheltered.
"Flamingo Belle" is spectacular in flower and would be great as a feature plant in gardens, along footpaths and in parks. it certainly deserves to become more widely planted.
