A popular Australian palm with a handsome, graceful appearance which features a clean, smooth trunk, slightly swollen at the base and creamy flowers which form below the crown shaft.
 
Generally grown as an outdoor specimen.  Used widely for landscaping around pools, or as a feature plant or lawn specimen in parks and gardens.
 
Outdoors it requires a sunny to partly shaded position.  Indoors choose a warm spot with filtered sun.
