A dense, low-branching shrub with dark green foliage and candle-like golden flowers, with maroon styles maturing to black-purple in winter to early spring.
 
Long bud anticipation period.
 
Suitable for cool temperate to tropical climates in moist, well drained clay or sandy soils, neutral to acid pH.
 
Excellent as informal hedging or screening in compact gardens.  Trim spent flowers and feed with low phosphorus native fertiliser early spring or late summer.
