A strong growing selection of Banksia spinulosa, "Bold and Gold" is upright and bushy reaching 1-2 m high with a spread of 1.5 m.

Preferring a full sun, moist but well drained position, "Bold and Gold" is extremely free flowering.  Masses of 30 cm upright Banksia blooms cover the plant from a very young age during autumn, and often in spring as well.  Extremely attractive to honey eating birds.

Banksia "Bold and Gold" is well suited to coastal planting, is long lived and responds well to regular pruning to shape the bush.  Ferilise with a slow release native fertiliser, mulch well and avoid digging around the roots.  Also drought tolerant once established.
