Low growing Australian native shrub grown for its showy flowers.
FEATURES: Dwarf Red is an attractive low growing banksia with large golden flowers that have red highlights. Flowers appear in autumn and last right into winter. Attractive to birds and bees.
CONDITIONS: Plant into free draining soils in full or partial sun. Tolerant of dry sites and will flower under tall trees such as eucalypts that allow filtered light through.
FOR BEST RESULTS: Mulch soil well with low nutrient materials and a little compost.
