Notes from the plant tag:

A vigorous shrub with dark red bottlebrush flowers to 10 cm long in spring, with bright green, narrow leaves.

Ideal for seaside gardens, display or as a screening or hedge plant. The flowers attract nectar feeding birds.

Flowers best when grown in full sun.  Tolerates a wide range of soils, watering and conditions including coastal exposure and frost.  Prune behind spent flowers to ensure bushy growth.
