Notes from the plant tag:

A compact, upright, medium shrub with dense grey-green foliage and numerous glossy purple-maroon brushes in spring and autumn.

Suited to cool temperate to sub tropical climates; moist to wet clay or sandy soils, neutral to acid pH.

Excellent screening plant, may be clipped as a hedge.  Ideal specimen in small gardens or streetscape. 

Prune well after flowering.  Feed with low phosphorus (native) fertiliser early spring or late summer.
