Notes from the plant tag:

A dwarf, rounded, evergreen shrub which in spring is almost completely covered with a mass of dark red bottle-brush flowers.  The narrow, crowded foliage is an attractive bluish-green.

Excellent addition to rockeries, borders and shrubberies.  Makes a good container plant and can be hedged.  The colourful flowers attract nectar feeding birds.

A hardy, adaptable shrub, tolerant of most soil and conditions given a sunny aspect.  Tolerates light frost.  Prune after flowering to maintain compact growth.  Keep moist in dry weather.

Caution:  skin irritant
