Notes from the plant tag:

Clumping, evergreen perennial with wide, dark green, strap-like leaves.  Sturdy stems bear large, rounded heads of deep orange or red flowers from mid winter to spring.

Ideal for bringing splashes of colour to shady areas in the garden.  Does well in pots in shaded courtyards or on verandahs.

Prefers a shady to semi-shaded position in well drained soils.  Will tolerate dryness.  Avoid planting in direct or afternoon sun.
