Adaptable small tree/shrub with vivid red flowers, deep burgundy leaves.  Urban-friendly size, resilient to drought and frost.  Powdery mildew unlikely.  Ideal for diverse landscapes.

Uses:  shade trees, hedge, border for paths, roads and fences.

Soil Type:  Tolerates various soil types, even moderately wet conditions.

Care:  Prune yearly for density, every 2-3 years for height.  Fertilise and water initially, supplement watering in summer.
