Notes from the plant tag:

An attractive, small shrub with dense foliage and pretty, ruby red blooms from late winter into spring.

Uses:  Suited to mixed garden beds and large tubs.

Position:  Prefers a shaded position with well drained soil.

Care:  Keep moist in summer and mulch well to keep roots cool and moist.  Mulching will reduce weeds and improve soil structure.

Planting:  Cultivate soil before planting.  Dig hole twice the width of the container.  Remove plant from container and place into the hole so the soil level is the same as the surrounding ground.  Fill hole firmly and water in well even if the soil is moist.
