Notes from the plant tag:
Full size Mulberry trees can grow to 10 metres in height, but the Dwarf Mulberry is a little gem, and grows to just 2-4 m in height and has copious amounts of fruit.
The Dwarf Mulberry yields fruit from September to February. The fruit ripens over an extended period of time, unlike other fruit that often ripens all at once, (and offers a very limited yield season).
Once the fruit season is over, you can cut the tree back by a third for a further yield.
The plant is self-fertile with Male and Female flowers on each tree.
It will grow in light (sandy), medium (loamy) or hard (clay) soil. But it is important for the soil to be well drained. While the plant itself is smaller than a full Mulberry, the fruit is identical in size and just as juicy.
Easy to grow, a copious fruiter and beautiful foliage that cascades all the way to the ground - the Dwarf Mulberry is a real winner.
