Very large, spade shaped leaves are produced on long, fleshy petioles. During summer perfumed green-cream coloured flowers appear flollowed by orangy-red fruits.
Uses: Ideal for planting in shaded areas of the garden and in pots for its ornamental foliage. Can also be grown indoors.
Position: Prefers part shade position outdoors and filtered light indoors.
Watering: Water well until established then as needed throughout the drier months.
Fertilise: Fertilise with a slow release feriliser during the growing season.
Pruning: Remove spent flowers and unsightly leaves to encourage new blooms and new growth.
