A medium-sized shrub with heath-like foliage and large, greenish-yellow bottle-brushes in summer.  The foliage is often retained to ground level.

Useful screening and hedge plant.  

Both flowers and foliage can be used for indoor decoration.  The flowers attract nectar feeding birds.

Grow in a sunny position in moist, well-drained soil.  Tolerates coastal conditions and windy, exposed sites.

Prune after flowering to maintain compact growth.  Benefits from summer watering.
