From the plant tag: Amy Lou is an attractive subtropical grevillea that produces large red/orange flowers for most of the year. Peak flowering occurs in spring and autumn. Amy Lou is compact in its growth habit making it easy to manage and perfect for the small native garden.
It thrives in full sun or part shade, is adaptable to a range of soil types and is very drought tolerant. Prune periodically to keep the plant compact and promote new growth for flowering.
When planting, dig a hole twice the size of the container and back fill the loose soil into the hole so that the soil level of the plant is the same height as the surrounding soil. Water well and mulch after planting. Fertilise annually with low phosphorus fertiliser for native plants - do not use manure.
