From the plant tag:  Spreading medium-sized evergreen shrub with a profusion of pinkish red flowers from winter to summer.

The prickly foliage makes it ideal for controlling foot traffic.  Suitable for screening and hedges.  Flowers are rich in nectar and are highly attractive to nectar feeding birds.

Prefers full sun and tolerates a range of conditions including frost and drought.  Responds to pruning which can be done to maintain a compact habit.
