Notes from plant tag
Grevillea Honey Barbara is an exciting new cultivar bearing stunning honey-orange flowers, turning to soft pink, for most of the year.
Uses: Grevillea Honey Barbara grows to 3 m tall by 2 m wide, is very drought tolerant, and makes an excellent specimen or screen plant. When in flower the shrub is a favourite for nectar eating birds.
Position: Honey Barbara prefers to grow in full sun in most soils, and will tolerate mild frosts. Mulch well.
Watering: although very drought tolerant, deep watering during extended dry periods will increase flowering vigour.
Fertilise: fertilise in spring if more vigour is required, and prune to whatever size is desirable. Use a slow release native fertiliser.
Pruning: pruning in spring and late summer will ensure maximum flowering.
