A fast-growing, semi-evergreen tree with attractive ferny foliage.  In spring and early summer, large drooping bunches of lilac-blue tubular flowers create a spectacular long-lasting display.

Excellent specimen tree for medium to large gardens, parks and for street planting.  Provides good filtered shade in the garden.

Grow in a sunny position in moist, well drained soil rich in organic matter.  Tolerant of light frosts once established.  Smaller and slower growing in cooler areas.  Tolerant of short dry periods but prefers regular water.
