Notes from the plant tag:
Lilac Lace is one of the many selected seedlings from Hardenbergia violacae. It is a compact low bushy shrub that produces a prolific mass display of pale purple pea-shaped flowers between winter to early spring.
Prefers morning sun and is suitable for partly shaded areas. It is adaptable to most well-drained soils and tolerates periods of dry conditions. It will require summer watering over prolonged periods where there is little or no rain.
CARE: It is best to initially feed with a slow-release general fertiliser to help establish the plant. A follow-up with the occasional reapplication of fertiliser and apply as required is beneficial to the plant. Mulching around the base of the plant will also help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
USES: Lilac Lace is useful for areas as an understory planting, where low-level cover is required. It can be used for large landscape sites or small garden beds. This plant produces colour and nectar over the cooler months.
