A beautiful evergreen Magnolia with glossy dark green foliage and large fragrant white flowers. Considered the best of the Souther Magnolias from the USA, "Kay Parris" is an excellent small specimen tree, ideal as a feature plant in tubs and as a trimmed hedge.
Features: Compact and upright, "Kay Parris" has glossy dark green pointed leaves that have waved margins and a stunning coppery velvet underside. Grows 4 m tall x 2.5 m wide in the first 10 years in good conditions.
Conditions: Grows in any well drained garden soil. Full sun to partial shade. Low water use once established. Frost tolerant.
For best results: "Kay Parris" requires minimal after care and is relatively insect and disease free. Mulch to keep the roots cool and moist and give a weekly deep soaking in prolonged dry weather. Prune and fertilise in Spring.
