An attractive small to medium native shrub growing 2-3 m high with a spread of 1.5 m.
Soft green foliage is offset with masses of two toned pink terminal "bottlebrush" flowers during Spring. Flowers are extremely attractive to honey eating birds.
Strong, hardy, tolerating light frosts, Melaleuca "Pink Surprise" will benefit from pruning after flowering, together with regular applications of a Native Slow Release fertiliser.
Drought tolerant once established.
