Ceratapetalum gummiferum

Description:  A vigorous red flowered NSW Christmas Bush selection where the flower bracts go a darker shade of red as they age.

Uses:  Excellent for garden beds and perfect as a cut flower

Position:  Tolerates most well drained soils.  Grows in full sun to shadier sites.

Care:  Mulch well and prune after flowering to maintain a compact growth habit.

Planting:  Cultivate soil before planting.  Dig hole twice the width of container.  Fill hole with water and let drain away.  Remove plant from container and place in hole so the soil level in the same as the surrounding ground.  Fill hole firmly and water in well even if the soil is moist.
