This shrub has olive-green, velvety leaves borne on upright stems.  During summer and autumn it produces a profusion of bright purple flowers, with a contrasting dark bottom lip.

Ideal for cottage gardens, rockeries, borders and containers.

Thrives in moist, well drained soil, in a sunny to partly shaded position, protected from frost.

Prune after flowering to maintain compact growth.
