Notes from the plant tag:

A deciduous, rounded shrub bearing dense heads of bright crimson flowers during summer.  The narrow foliage is bright green, can sometimes be variegated and is flushed pink when young.

Ideal in rockeries, banks, slopes and mixed borders.  Great for mass planting.  Butterfly attracting.

Plant in rich, well-drained soil.  water regularly until established.  

Prune after flowering to maintain compact shape.  Apply slow-release fertiliser in early spring.

Mulch well.
