Evergreen, rainforest tree with very attractive foliage that has copper-coloured undersides.  In summer, a mass of creamy-white, scented flower spikes are displayed.

Ideal garden specimen tree or screen with year-round interest.  The flowers attract nectar feeding birds.

Thrives in a warm, sunny site with moist soil but requires excellent drainage.  Tolerates light frost and shorty dry spells once established.

Low maintenance.

Caution:  May cause skin irritation.
