Width: 0.75 – 1 m
Tolerates light frost
Attracts bees, butterflies and beneficial insects
Suitable for pots and containers
A delightful, compact Australian native shrub featuring masses of dainty, star-shaped, soft pink flowers set against attractive, fine-textured, aromatic green foliage. Flowering predominantly during winter and spring, with additional blooms possible throughout much of the year, this charming Boronia provides a beautiful display of colour over an extended period.
Its naturally neat, bushy growth habit makes it an excellent choice for cottage gardens, native gardens, mixed borders, rockeries and decorative containers. Particularly attractive when planted in groups, the delicate pink flowers provide a lovely contrast against the evergreen foliage and attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinating insects.
Prefers a sheltered position in full sun to part shade, with protection from the intense afternoon sun in Brisbane's subtropical climate. Grows best in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Keep the root zone cool with mulch and water regularly during hot, dry weather, avoiding prolonged waterlogging. Light pruning after flowering encourages dense, compact growth and continued flowering.
