FEATURES:  A neat and tidy, fast-growing sasanqua with large, showy, deep pink, informal double flowers that are up to 7 cm across and flowers throughout the cooler months.

The fast growth rate and dense wavy habit make this camellia perfect as a medium to tall hedge. Performs well in full sun or part shade and is suitable for hedges and screens.  Ideal for display tubs, mass planting or accent planting.

PREPARATION:  Camellias like a rich topsoil and for many areas with poor or clay soils it would be advisable to build up the soil with decomposed organic matter rather than digging down into the clay.

CARE:  Camellias grow best in well drained soils. After planting, mulch well and water regularly until established.  Once established, Camellia plants are surprisingly drought hardy.  Feed with complete fertiliser in spring and summer.  Lightly prune in early spring for shape, if required.
