A spectacular dwarf Australian native flowering gum featuring a compact, rounded canopy of attractive, glossy dark green foliage and masses of brilliant, fire-engine-red flowers throughout summer. The showy clusters of fluffy, gold-tipped red stamens create a breathtaking display, transforming the tree into a vibrant focal point in the garden.
Specially selected for its naturally compact growth habit and grafted to ensure consistent flower colour and improved garden performance, Corymbia 'Dwarf Red' is an outstanding choice for smaller gardens, courtyards, feature planting and large decorative containers. Its spectacular nectar-rich flowers are highly attractive to honeyeaters, lorikeets and other native birds, bringing colour and wildlife activity to the garden.
Thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained soil. Once established, it tolerates light frost, coastal conditions and periods of drought. Particularly suitable for Brisbane gardens where good drainage and airflow are provided. Remove spent flower heads and old gumnuts as required to maintain a tidy canopy and encourage future flowering. As with all grafted plants, promptly remove any shoots emerging from below the graft union.
