A striking, compact Australian native shrub featuring masses of fine, soft, bright green, needle-like branchlets that form a naturally dense, rounded mound. Its graceful, flowing foliage creates a beautiful, sculptural appearance, providing year-round greenery and texture without the need for constant pruning.

Unlike the large-growing Swamp Sheoak, 'Greenwave' has a naturally compact, bushy growth habit, making it an outstanding choice for low hedges, borders, mass planting, feature gardens and contemporary landscapes. Particularly effective when planted in groups to create a series of attractive green mounds, it also makes an excellent low-maintenance alternative to traditional clipped hedging plants.

Exceptionally hardy and adaptable, Greenwave thrives in full sun to part shade and tolerates a wide range of soils, including sandy and relatively poor soils, provided drainage is adequate. Well suited to Brisbane's subtropical climate, it tolerates heat, humidity, coastal winds, salt spray and light frost. Once established, it is drought tolerant and requires very little maintenance. Its naturally rounded shape can be maintained with occasional light trimming if desired.
